Long before 80-year-old Parton died Tuesday, fans in January 2025 started an online petition calling for officials to rename Nashville International Airport in her honor. It got renewed attention following Parton's death, jumping to more than 155,000 signatures Friday.
“Who doesn’t want to be ‘departin’ from Parton’?” said one of the fans behind an online petition to rename Nashville International Airport for Dolly Parton, who died on Tuesday.
The two controllers are among a dozen that the Federal Aviation Administration has taken steps to fire as part of an inquiry into timecard fraud, according to people familiar with the matter.
