The US and Iran have exchanged fire for the first time in a month, with missiles and drones fired at Iranian rocket launchers on an island in the strait of Hormuz

American missiles struck an airport in southern Iran on Tuesday, Iranian state television is reporting.

Jiroft airport, in the province of Kerman, is the latest target in a fresh wave of US airstrikes.
