A delayed vote on Trump's pick for attorney general led the president to suggest he might pull Todd Blanche's nomination for now rather than meet Senate demands.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Tuesday that his agency will withhold $867.5 million in Medicaid payments to California over concerns about fraud.

California has been the target of more civil rights actions than any other state. The civil rights division is led by California-native Harmeet Dhillon.
