NASA launched its newest space telescope, undertaking its biggest mission yet to study the universe on a much larger scale. A roughly $4 billion project, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will allow scientists to get panoramic views of space and better understand the nature of powerful forces known as dark energy and dark matter. Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said there is still work to do on inflation. At the Fed's annual economic symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Warsh also said that although he is not committed to a rate hike, he is not ruling it out. Meta agreed to pay up to $17 billion in a settlement, putting to rest a trial where dozens of states accused it of deliberately endangering children through their platforms. The company behind Facebook and Instagram agreed to implement digital guardrails for minors and is asking other social platforms to do the same.
